Nose to nose

I love this photo of Georgia, our 3 1/2 year old border collie mix, with the neighbor's pony, Big Brother. Georgia was mesmorized my the ponies as were they with her. This is the closest I as mom would let her get! If she had her way, she would have been under the barb wire on on her way to herding the ponies! It was a fun excursion outside and we try to repeat it whenever the ponies are near by.
I have several more photos from our outing that I think I will post in the following blogs so you can see the fun unfold.

Don't you just love my blindfolded attempt at a pregnant lady?! Every Saturday night my hubby and I go to our life group; what is a life group you may ask? Well, for us, it a small group of people from church who meet for dinner, fellowship and a little time in the Word. Last night we played Cranium, not a game I've ever played before, might I add! It was my turn and Christian, my husband, and I went head to head in a drawing contest. The clue was "condition" and the word was pregnant. So we closed out eyes and started drawing and mine was the winner:) We had a blast!!!

An empty nest, a heart full of memories

I found this empty nest on one of my outings with Georgia and knew I had to photograph it. I've always loved birds and for some reason , bird's nest have always intrigued me.
I remember a lady in college who would always have a handful of students over every Wednesday night for supper and through out her house she had bird's nest, dried hydrangeas, sea shells, and anything else nature. She inspired me with her creativity and her hospitality. I haven't really thoguht much about her until now, but I'm so grateful to have know Ms. Vicki.

The two littlest members

Meet me and my two birds, Scotland(Scottie) and Hidi(she likes to hide). Some days these birds can be so cute and sweet and then other days they somehow get into a funky mood and make mean noises all day long. But they are are our birds so we love them! Right after our series of photos, Scottie decided he had had enough and took off for the highest spot in the house to which Hidi thought she'd try to fly off too, but she's still a baby so her flying skills aren't really there, so to the floor she went.
This is my first post ever!!! So thanks Jean 1 for letting me copy your idea of a photo blog!
